But according to the Bible, it is Jesus Christ Himself who must be believed in, not some divine promise. Not simply accepting His promises or knowledge of Him is what saves; it is faith in Him. More than just acknowledging reality, saving faith must be more. According to James 2:19, even demons possess that kind of faith.
